'false' conversion of Menu bar into vertical

thanks for your time

environment: MWPSK 1.2.2, VisualStudio 2008

the project runs perfect when on my development machine (all options: 1. 'default web server' 2. 'custom server' 3. directly in IE8).
I also, for curiosity, ran it with 1.3.0 beta - all is ok too!)

Now as soon as I deploy it to my (external) web server everything is ok except:
The Horizontal Menubar (SwishBlue) shows as a Vertical bar, in fact, it shows (from the beginning) all my pages expanded/vertically!?

Normally, the menu bar only shows the first level. When on the external WEB server, as said, it shows the complete tree vertically. To me it looks like the CSS/style business doesn't work anymore/at all!? However, everytning else works fine i.e. I can click all my pages and get the content correctly!?

thanks for anybody having an idea/hint

I get something similar, but only on the orphan pages "search" "login", etc. and on Safari and Chome.  Something insn't parsing right.

Any Ideas before I go searching through CodePlex?  BTW - MWPSK 1.2.2, VisualStudio 2008 on the UltiDev Cassini Web Server

NOT to direct you in the wrong direction: The CSS/style business works just fine! It is ONLY the navigation bar which doesn't show up correctly. I CANNOT imagine that this has anything to do with my external server provider!?!

I would like to emphasize: ALL other formatting is ok, I can call the pages ok!

Thanks for your time and hints ... right now I do not know where to start fixing this issue ...

In the meantime I did some research, There is one obvious difference in the source of the very first page:
on the server: the menu is resolved by <ul><li> means
on my machine: table tags are used

Immediately the "CSSFriendlyAdapter" came to my mind where everything got resolved by "li lu" means!
But on my machine I have Table tags (no CSSFriendlyAdapter installed on MWPSK!). How can my server suddenly
'change' to 'li lu' tags ... this is a mystery to me.
PS: the server uses Framework 2.0.50727.0

???? question:
what do I possibly have to activate on the server machine to get the 'Navigation' bar resolved by table tags ?

I always thought the 'formatting' thing is resolved only by MWPSK Theme/Skin/CSS means!?
Any hints are welcome ... and thanks for your time

Look at the last item on this thread.  It may explain what's happening.

Good luck.

thanks for your time ... your links have given me some new ideas; although not the real cause, thanks anyway!

Well, I found it now . As I speculated, It had to do with the CSSfriendlyApadapter (CFA)  business. Why:

my former WEB site used CFA, the new one not (yet) anymore! From the former upload (to the external server) there was still the file
"CSSfriendlyAdapters.browser" accessible! After deleting that file everything was ok!

What did I learn: always delete (clean) everthing before a new upload!
as usual, in the end its easy, ed
