Are this project abandoned?

Not much replys on the discussion board....

No planned release...

So I wonder if the "My web pages starter kit project" are being abandoned?

I still actively use this application. I would be happy to help where I can.

Hi Bjorn

sounds great ..;0)

Do you have this extension working in version 1.3.1 ?

http://mywebpagesstarterkit.codeplex.com/workitem/13162?ProjectName=mywebpagesstarterkit

 specific the HTML sidebar

enables a "Sidebard HTML contents" option for each pages, so any HTML extra content can be shown right after the sidebar. This allows admins to put extra contents where sidebar is and enables more complex scenarios for real-world portals. HTML contents can be customized on a per-page basis.

Hi Wiper,

I don't believe the extensions in that package work. However, here is a link to a resource that has a working extended HTML sidebar. http://www.burstmode.de/Default.aspx?pg=212f550d-4a3a-424d-bc8a-45ad928ce37f&detail=3f0a7788-5480-4318-9985-0c076dcc2f35. The HTML sidebar is limited in display though.

A better solution would be to use the templates extension found here: http://epscms.codeplex.com/. It will take some effort to make it work but I'd be happy to help. I did port this over to my MWPSK structure several months ago and I'm sure I could package it up to work with a default extension.

This templates extension creates zones within your site where you can place extensions/modules. An example of this new templating system can be found here: http://www.conekted.com/Images/UserImages/Conekt-CMS-Admin.png.

Hope this helps,

Bjorn

Hi Wiper,

EPSCMS takes a little bit of getting used to. It's vastly different from the out of box MWPSK build. However, I wouldn't suggest using it as I understand the author has moved on to a new project and no longer supports it. Some of his extensions are broken (For example, the forum, last I tested it, did not work well). But, other extensions he's created can be ported in to the base MWPSK 1.3.1 with a little modification.
