New Features in 1.3.0

Theme Updates
  • Modified css Files for asp:Menu compatibility with IE8
  • Updated the PopCalendar to the newest version (IE8 compatible)

Editor Replacement
  • Replaced the FCK Editor with FreeTextBox (http://www.freetextbox.com)
  • Moved the Html-Editor code to a separate control (/SectionControls/HtmlEditor.ascx)

New RSS Display Section
New Twitter Section
  • Added a new section to display Twitter status updates for a user
  • Sidebar support
  • Rendering through xsl templates (located in /TwitterStatusFeedTemplates)

New Forum Section
  • Added a new section which implements a basic forum

Upgrade instructions

  1. Create a Backup of your whole site!
  2. Delete all files of the old version, but keep the App_Data folder as it is
  3. Extract the 1.3.0 version to the webserver

Updated theme generator

  • Changed the default templates to work with IE8 (asp:menu etc.)
  • Included the MWPSK 1.3.0 Beta code for the preview website
  • Switched the preview webserver from cassini to cassini++ which should lead to less crashes and hangs

Passworded / Secure area is good. No need for a database. Passwords are encrypted. Easy to use for all levels of tech knowledge. Very quick and easy to install.
