When I create a link in FCKeditor and try it out, it does nothing. It shows javascript:void(0);/*1256373061448*/ and thats all. I want to place a link in news and in contact an email link (mailto) But nada, nothing.

Cheers George

I have the same problem. I've discovered that opening it and changing it back to the actual value, works.

George --

I ran some tests and have not been able to reproduce this error.

Test 1...

  1. Go to a page.
  2. Add an HTML-Control.
  3. Switch the HTML-Control to Edit-Mode.
  4. Switch to the HTML-Control to Source-Mode.
  5. Add an anchor tag with a mailto link as its href.
  6. Save it.
  7. Swtich to View-Mode.
  8. Click the link.
  9. It works.
  10. Done.

Test 2...

  1. Go to a page.
  2. Add an HTML-Control.
  3. Switch the HTML-Control to Edit-Mode.
  4. Switch to the HTML-Control to WYSIWYG-Mode.
  5. Add some text to the page.
  6. Select the text.
  7. Click on the "Link" button in the HTML-Control's toolbar.
  8. Add an anchor tag with a mailto link as its href.
  9. Save it.
  10. Swtich to View-Mode.
  11. Click the link.
  12. It works.
  13. Done.

So, have you tried either of those?

Please advise.

Thank you.

Kaze72 --

Have you tried either of the 2 tests that I show above?

If no, they please consider doing so?

If yes, then what were your results?

Please advise.

Thank you.

Thanks guys,

The work-around 'Test 1' did the trick. Even with the mailto link. The second 'Test 2' doesn't work as it should be. This give the link  javascript:void(0);/*1256373061448*/ wich don't work.

But I'm fine with the work-around. Maybe in the future it will work as it should be.

Thanks George

I have not tried any of the suggested workarounds, because I feel that the one I'm currently using works pretty OK also. That is, adding the link, and then reopen it and change it to a correct value.

Hi,

Has anyone found the solution to this? I'm also getting <a href="javascript:void(0);/*1320685814984*/">when I create a link. I need to train people tomorrow on this and I'm having the link problem. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Hi If anyone is still having a problem with this I found the following site http://burstmode.de/homepage.aspx. If you are using the older version of MWPSK I would suggest you updating with the extensions on this site. I updated for an older MWPSK I had and it eliminated the Javascript:void(0); issue I was having.
